Complaints Procedure
Raise Architects is a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Chartered Practice and is bound by the RIBA Code of Practice.
Raise Architects recognises that on occasion misunderstandings and disputes may arise with clients, co-professionals and third parties through our professional work. Where these cannot be resolved in a mutually satisfactory manner and a complaint arises, please refer to our Complaints Procedure.

Raise Architects is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that the information we store about you is secure. This privacy policy sets out the kind of information we hold, why we hold it, how we store it, how long we keep it and how you can gain access to it or choose to remove it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
What information do we hold?
The personal information that we hold consists primarily of contact details. However, if you are a client we will hold information relating to your project. If you are a professional or tradesperson with whom we have worked or may wish to work with in the future, we may store your contact details for future reference. If you are a job applicant, we will store any personal information you submitted as part of your application. For employees or ex-employees we will store personal information relating to your time in employment.
Why do we store your personal information?
We collect the information that we need in order to provide our services. We require the information for the following reasons:
To be able to communicate efficiently and effectively.
To show that we have carried out our services.
To fulfil our obligations according to the terms of our agreement.
To keep records required by law.
We will never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law.
Any personal information held solely for marketing purposes will only be stored once we have gained your consent to do so.
We may add to or amend your personal information to make it easier to organise and access within our systems.
How do we store it?
Our contact database is stored in a secure, encrypted CRM system. This ensures the utmost security for your personal information and enables us to manage the information we hold on you more readily.
Personal information that has been incorporated into documents relating to projects is stored on our secure cloud-based server.
How long do we keep your information for?
If the personal information is related to a project, we will retain the information for the duration of our liability in relation to the project, as set out in the terms of our agreement.
Personal information given with consent for marketing purposes will be stored for as long as we continue to distribute our marketing material, or until you request that it is removed. Personal information relating to a job application will be retained for 6 months. Personal records relating to ex-employees will be retained for up to 6 years after leaving the employment of Raise Architects.
Controlling your personal information
Under new GDPR laws individuals are granted enhanced rights to control their personal information.
These give you the right to request a copy of your information, to object to our use of your information (including for marketing purposes), or to request that we amend, remove or restrict the way that we use your information. If you provide consent but change your mind in the future you can contact us directly to modify or withdraw your information.

How to make a complaint
