A lot of big things happened in April 2019 (there were also one or two things that should have happened but didn’t).
We've singled out three of them, as we felt that they were so significant they deserve a second look. In no particular order, they were delivered by:
Greta Thunberg
The Danish teenager who started the School Strike for the Climate movement, spoke to the UK parliament.
Carole Cadwalladr
The Guardian and Observer journalist who has been investigating the role of technology in society, and in particular the use of social media in elections, gave a Ted talk on the subject.
George Monbiot
The environmental activist who advocates rewilding of the countryside and a new model of capitalism, spoke out on Frankie Boyle’s BBC programme, New World Order.
